Posting for Saturday Dec. 4th, 2004

      Wow the last time I was here to update my main page was Oct. 20th, My Mom's Birthday!! Since then there have been Elvis and Ozzy Osborne sightings in my home... Thanksgiving has come and gone...I have decorated for Christmas, started to remodel my kitchen and organized a Christmas gift exchange for my family.

I'm just joking around.. my 13 yr old future Vegas Magician... Master of Disguise son loves to dress up!  He's been doing this since he was 4... his first costume was one he picked out in a resale shop...We found a wool suit jacket and slacks that were to short for him (on purpose) then he fixed his hair and taped up the end of his nose with scotch tape... just like Pee Wee in Pee Wee's Big Adventure!!  He's also a big fan or Dean Martin so I'm sure that will be one of his future disguises.

Gift Exchange -  Our family grows more with the passing of each year. New great grand children (for my mom and dad) new nephews, new nieces and new girlfriends/boyfriends - husbands/wives.  Who do we include in this name drawing was a question that weighed heavy on my mind as well as the other adults in this family?  If we could all afford to buy for each person life would be grand but that not the case here because there would be over 20 people to buy for just for THIS side of the family!! Mom, Dad... me.. each of my sisters, their husbands or significant others.. then the children or each of us not to mention the children of our children!! Sheeesh!!! If each person spent say....50 dollars on each person that makes over 2000.00!!!  I for one cannot afford to spend that much money nor have I EVER spent that much money at Christmas time AND I am not going to start NOW!! I don't believe in creating a debt for Christmas gifts that could take up to a year to pay off!! Sure... Christmas time is a time for giving but I'll be DAMNED if I'm going to go into debt nor do I expect that from others...just to give a gift to people who you barely see once a year! A simple phone call on Christmas Morning to hear/say "Merry Christmas, I love you" works for me!! By the way.. we drew names between the members of the "core" family who were OVER 18 with a limit of 30.00 per  person. This worked out very nicely and saves each of us a TON of money. We all can also buy for the little kids.. so they can get lots of gifts!

Barbie's Unique Boutique - NOT COMING SOON!!    Well it is.. it just won't be before Christmas!!  I decided not to open my online boutique so that you could shop there for Christmas gifts for a good reason,  Mainly...  I just contracted with this company and because it was so close to Christmas when I did, I wasn't sure that I could fulfill every order due to items being out of stock. I didn't want to create a bad name for my new business right away. People not being able to get gifts on time for Christmas would not be a good way to start out my Boutiques reputation!! I will be letting things settle down and things get restocked before I open it.  I'm planning on opening it sometime toward the end of January!

New Backgrounds for FREE Download - I have been working on TONS of new background images for web pages which can also be used for stationery in email. Check back  on or about Dec. 6th for the link. I have a lot made, I just need to put them on a web page and upload them all.
