- Her name is Candace and from what I understand he has had his eyes on her for quite some time! She tells me that his "pick-up line" was... "Wouldn't we make cute babies?" ha-ha that's a piece of information a mom doesn't necessarily want to hear!! I have gotten to know her pretty good in the past 2 months and I approve. Not that it matters what I think....or does it? he-he She's going to school to be an RN. That's a good thing right? At least if they get married I will have a nurse in the family so that she can take care of me when I'm a crippled up feeble old woman. ha-ha! I guess your wondering if I have pictures of her? - Not only is Mikey (my youngest son) a magician, an impersonator and a master of disguise... now he's branched off into selling magic tricks. 2 years ago we spent our summer vacation in Vegas we went to many magic shows one of them being the Rick Thomas Show at the Tropicana Resort and Casino. We were both hoping he could get on stage with Rick so Mikey could perform magic with him. It didn't happen but Mikey did get to take a picture with him after the show HERE is the picture. We also visited Houdini's Magic shop at Circus Circus, I bought him a little magic trick that makes it look like a card is twirling around in thin air (20.00 for a damn piece of invisible string and the ace of spades mind you!) Well to make a long story short, he wanted to know what kind of string it was so we looked it up online and found a whole spool of it in a fabric store near us for $4.95. Since then he has cut it in 2 1/2 ft. pieces and packaged it with a playing card and is selling it in school to kids for $1.00 each. He's made $32.00 in the last 3 days. Pretty good for a 13 year old boy huh? Guess it paid off to take him to Vegas! Maybe HE can take ME to Vegas this summer with his profits! New picture of Mikey in costume HERE. Mikeys new Bling HERE. - Yes, I can be crafty when I want. I have been watching some of these interior design shows on TV. and saw an upholstered message board that I thought looked easy.. so I decided to try to make one.. I got hooked on making them and made 3.. then at Christmas time I just HAD TO teach my mom. We gave them all away as gifts, now I need to make one for myself! HERE is what a finished one looks like. My mom and I also made a throw the day we made 2 of the boards I have a picture of it but I KNOW my mom wouldn't be very happy with me if I shared it with you.. she's ON the throw with her not so good side showing! ha- ha!! When I was taking the picture my Dad told me that she would get mad if I took a pic of her at that angle and when she reads this she's probably going to get mad because I even told yall that I HAVE a pic of her at that angle! hahaaaaaaaaaaFear of a vacuum cleaner.. are there meds for that?
- This is a funny story I just HAVE to tell you. Some people tell stories about their grand kids.. since I don't have any I will tell you a story about my grand pup. Right around Christmas time my oldest son dropped off his puppy so that Mikey could spend time with her. Mikey loves Daisy and loves to spend as much time with her when his oldest brother will bring her over. Well both Mikey and I were watching TV and Daisy kept on wanting to go out to other rooms in the house, I don't really like pets in the house but I made an exception for her that day because it was very cold outside. When my oldest son called to see how Daisy was I told him about her wanting to run all over the house. He then asked me if I had any Milk Bone Treats.... "of course I do.. I'm the grand mother of 2 puppies" I said! He then went on to tell me to take the vacuum cleaner out and put it in the opening of the door (because she's afraid of them) and put a Milk Bone on it just for kicks! We did what he told us to do and were entertained by Daisy for at least the next hour! It was hilarious.. she's deathly afraid of vacuum cleaners for some reason so it kept her from going into the rest of the house but she wanted the damn Milk Bone! She would inch herself up to it and get about 3 inches from the bone then either Mikey or I would make a roaring sound .... she would take off like a bat outta hell! but go back for another try in a few minutes. - I don't know what to tell you... my "weekend warriors" are in California right now and not expected back for quite sometime. I refuse to hire anyone to finish it so there's no more remodeling going in here right now! Well at least I have a stove now! Aint it pretty?
